Hey folks-
Thought I would stop by and let ya'll know what's going down at CHA. Now I will first tell you all...I don't have many pictures. It's been an adventure to say the LEAST getting here (I will refrain from going into detail here), and I forgot my cameras batteries in the charger for the first half of the day. But don't worry, I wasn't the only person there, and the other reporters were taking lots of pics.

But here are some trends for you...I will have lots of pics and reports tomorrow.

1. Summer CHA is focusing a lot on celebrations, mostly the upcoming holiday season. Most of the holiday paper and paper crafting products are more funky than formal. And the most prominent colors are green and pink. Very cute stuff.

2. Ribbon is everywhere!!! Lots of great new styles, colors, and patterns from companies like May Arts and Strano. And a lot of companies that previously just had paper are adding ribbon lines to their collections.

3. Do you feel the power of felt? The craft industry sure does. Everyone has it! In ribbon styles like Queen & Co., felt stickers, die cut sheets, and so much more.

4. Alterables and home decor are a staple everywhere. Many companies are featuring a ton of samples on alterable items, and there are tons of blanks, templates, and more out there. Plus I found some nifty paint sticker things from Plaid. It was first thing in the morning so I don't remember the name but I'm gonna get more details just for ya'll.

5. Crochet. But not just crochet like we originally think of. Companies are coming out with crocheted accets for scrapbooking. Really great stuff.

Well there's a sneak peek from me. I'm going to be going more in depth on these trends each day with pictures, company websites, and much, much more. We will start tomorrow with the funky holiday! Stay tuned...I'm off for some much needed rest!
