Edited to add: if you are interested in the paints... check the Stencil1 site NOW! You can buy them on-line! You can pre-order the new book too!On day one of CHA Melissa and I were sitting grabbing a bite of overpriced food in the cafeteria, and a quiet man approached us and handed me a pin... a sweet little stenciled bird to add to my impressive flair collection. It's amazing how thrilled I get over a tiny cute pin... but that's how I roll; I loves me some flair.
The pin was added to my collection immediately, and later that day I jotted "find pin guy's booth" in my spiral notebook.
Fast forward to the last day of CHA... when Melissa and I were dangerously low on caffeine; our backs and feet suffering from "craft-accident-its". We decided to start all the way in the back on this day... to hit all the "little guys" that get stuffed in the nooks and crannies of the convention center. The first booth we encountered energized us for the rest of the day.
Meet Ed Roth of Stencil1; the "pin guy"... who is WAY more than a pin guy... he's a stencil guy and a DIY guy and a guy we liked immediately. His designs are trendy and current... graphical stencils to use on your shirts, walls, cards and pages... heck, you can spray just about anything with these multi sized designs.

To be honest we could have hung out with Ed all day. He showed us how the stencils work...

We love the imperfect result...

And the designs, did I mention how eclectic?
You should look at his website and see all the selections...
He has these cool paints coming out too... in great colors. You can spray them on paper or T-Shirts and just heat set to make permanent.

He also has a book coming out soon... we plan to buy it... it will have 25 coated cardstock reusable stencils inside, and lots of great samples and crafty ideas... It will run you about $20 bucks.

We plan to do a feature on Stencil 1... cause we love it so! Stay tuned.

Whoa! I'm so bummed I missed his booth.
Those are really cool! I bet the tiny ones would be great for making polymer clay pendants!
This sounds great!
Oh, hurray for the back of the show! So glad you found stencil guy. I love the edgy look of his products. Thanks for showing him to us.
Can you tell me what the brand of spray paint Ed Roth (the stencil guy) is using? I find the bright colours so cool, but have never seen them in spray paint like that. It gives a great result!!! TKX! Mel
mel... I just emailed ED and I will let you know ASAP! He makes (or at least sells) the paints... But I couldn't find any info on my own...
stay tuned!
This is the coolest thing I've seen come out of CHA yet! I cannot wait to get my hands on his spray paints!
