I love the idea of upcycling/recycling clothing, or even just taking a cheap-o tee-shirt and really funking it up and making it unique. I saw the coolest product at CHA Summer to achieve this-- the Simply Screen Silk Screen by Plaid.

The concept is SO simple- they imbedded a silk screen in a reusable, self-adhesive vinyl stencil. Very cost effective!) Squirt a bead of the specially formulated paint along one edge, and then squeegee across. Lift off screen and let dry. Viola! No expensive tools are needed, you can reuse your image scads of times, and it's easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

I got the rep to give us this little demo, totally off the cuff, just to prove how easy it is:

The Simply Screen Silk Screen is on my short list of "must-haves" for the fall. Wouldn't you want some cool, tricked-out Tee's for school? Or backpacks, or lunch bags....what would YOU make?

That's awesome! I've seen the Ud-do or whatever it's called, in stores and always wondered if I'd get enough use out of it to justify buying it. This sounds like just the ticket for me!

Wow that would definitely be fun.

How great would this be for a birthday party? The kids could do tie dyes, then after they dry you screen print them all with the same image so that they're unique but still all linked for the party! I love this and that's an excellent price. I can't wait for my birthday next month!

I just got these and for some reason they are not sticking to the tote bags I got to use them on. They are 100% cotton canvas type bags with a non rough non stiff texture to them. I tested it on a shirt and it stuck fine. I don't know what is wrong, it bleeds through the designs since it is not stuck flat to the fabric...very fustrating cause they look really cute once you get them on and they are really easy.
