The club looks great…lots of freebies for joining. I want to join…think it is the thing I need to get more motivated to actually get some pages done.

  2. RAP March 25, 2010 at 8:53 am #

I think the paid membership would probably be worth if you were going to a CK convention. Although now they are running a bunch of specials that include the entrance fee. The magazine looks cool but not alone enough to justify the fee for only 4 issues. The online access is nice but you can get so much for free anyway these days that I don’t see it as a big deal. Also I thought you would access to all the old issues of the mags and it is only certain ones. The other freebies aren’t that exciting – a few stickers, a bag tag, and a coffee sleeve. I would say it is an OK value if not going to a CKC, A good value if you are. In this day of penny pinching, it isn’t enough to get my dollar at this point.

  3. Librarybug March 25, 2010 at 9:37 am #

I think the new Club CK is very cool! I like that you have access to back issues of both books and magazines. I also like the free fonts. Trying to decide if I should sign up. Looks like a good deal.

  4. Anita March 25, 2010 at 9:41 am #

This is a fun club. Thanks for the chance to win.

  5. smahrty March 25, 2010 at 9:47 am #

seems like a very interesting club, count me in!

  6. Patchi March 25, 2010 at 9:51 am #

Great Tip of the week! Yours & Club CK’s!!!!

  7. connie March 25, 2010 at 11:00 am #

I have been thinking about this..just not sure it I would use it enough to justify the annual fee. I am not close enough to enjoy the benefits of CK Conventions. A free membership would be great to see if it was worth it.

  8. Jingle March 25, 2010 at 11:05 am #

This is interesting. I like that it gives you a free class at convention…that is definitely a nice perk! The online stuff doesn’t really add anything for me, as so much of that is already available and they don’t seem to have anything new and exciting that can’t be found elsewhere. I like the looks of the mag and I hope they make it really a fun and on-trend publication!

  9. Anna Denton March 25, 2010 at 11:14 am #

Love the gallery – how you can sort within it! Very nice site – consider it bookmarked! Oh – and love this site for the daily email! I feel like a much more informed loony hobbyist! 🙂

  10. Liza Ward March 25, 2010 at 11:20 am #

I’ve been on the fence about whether or not to spend the money for a membership. Have really been wishing I could read their first issue on organization, though, so I might have to break down and join!

  11. Lisa j March 25, 2010 at 11:23 am #

Looks great….I love creating keepsakes. They are a great company. Would love to win!

  12. thea white March 25, 2010 at 11:40 am #

I end up buying the magazines anyway, and go to the conventions AND take classes so this would really benefit me, surprised I haven’t jumped on it yet. Would love to win it tho!!

  13. Lori March 25, 2010 at 11:45 am #

I definitely like having so many tips and tricks in one place, but I think RAP makes a lot of valid points.
    lkziegler[at]gmail[dot]com

  14. lisa g. March 25, 2010 at 11:50 am #

Would love to win this! I do agree with RAP though, I’m not sure I would spend the $ to join otherwise.

  15. Do Be Do Bead Do March 25, 2010 at 11:55 am #

Wow, looks great. The fonts and clips would be exciting to get and probably worth the fee. However, I’m hoping to win my membership!!!

  16. rush8888 March 25, 2010 at 11:59 am #

yet another club…isn’t any followed blog a club? there is so much information on the web, who needs another place to go for ideas. i think the web is saturated. the perks of the club, like a class at a convention, would only include so many people. i can also read the magazine at the book store. from my brief look, i think the quality of the scrapbook pages leave alot to be desired. i won’t even think about justifying this expense. ck, however, is one of the industry’s leader, and i do enjoy what they add to the crafter’s palette. i don’t need a club for that.

  17. Jenn March 25, 2010 at 12:04 pm #

Unfortunately many people won’t be able to take advantage of one of the best freebies the club offers – the CK Convention admission and class! Hopefully the Convention will come back to Florida.

  18. Isabel Z March 25, 2010 at 12:06 pm #

I’m always looking for sites to inspire me and give me ideas and this looks like it might be for me. I’ve been a CK subscriber since their 1st publication and always pick up ideas with each issue I receive. This would be a great supplement. Thank you!

  19. Melinda AKA medialady March 25, 2010 at 12:31 pm #

I visit the site everyday and post on the forums. I haven’t signed up yet but I am considering this.

  20. Cheryl March 25, 2010 at 12:31 pm #

I like CK magazine and would expect that the club would be good. I would love a chance to win a membership for free. Maybe offering a free 3 month trial would be a good idea to get some interest.

  21. RosieP March 25, 2010 at 12:56 pm #

I totally agree with RAP. I have downloaded those 9 Guides which came as a freebie for subscribing to Paper Crafts magazine and believe me those guides are nothing to write home about.
Each guide is 1 page…very basic, beginner level information. I also subscribed to Creating Keepsakes magazine (I’ve only gotten a couple of issues so far; first time subscriber) and I won’t be renewing that mag at the end of my 1 year subscription. There’s not enough “meat” in either of that magazine, in my opinion.

For anyone interested in fonts, there are plenty of sites where you can grab these for FREE on the net. An excellent site is dafont.com

  22. Rachel March 25, 2010 at 1:07 pm #

That is so cool that you just made me sign up! I can’t wait, and I don’t even Scrapbook!! But you can apply those techniques to all sorts of other crafts.

  23. KV Creative Designs March 25, 2010 at 1:47 pm #

It is nice to see that people are actually exploring the site and commenting, not just leaving a random comment to try to win. My concern would be if I paid, some of the stuff they are offering (i.e. Free Fonts and Savings) I could probably find these online myself for Free. It doesn’t really say that these perks are Exclusive.

    Artful Blessings,
    Kathryn

  24. hypermicky March 25, 2010 at 1:50 pm #

i love EVERTYTHING it has to provide for my scrapbook addiction! so much inspiration, so much ideas, and all!! 🙂 Thanks for everything you and CK do!

  25. Btrflywmn March 25, 2010 at 1:53 pm #

I like the new community, really nice. Inspiration, contests, tips, discounts, so much great stuff. Love it.

  26. Linda Shewchuk March 25, 2010 at 1:53 pm #

i like the site. Right now, can’t afford it and i like my stuff that is right with me to read at my leisure in the middle of the night… Would love to look around more though

  27. Mikila Gomez March 25, 2010 at 2:05 pm #

OMG, this sounds fantastic. I joined the free part but would love the whole thing. If I had the money, I would go for it right now. I love seeing new things like this popping up. Its great for us scrappers. Hugs

  28. Cassi March 25, 2010 at 2:09 pm #

i have yet to take the plunge, because i’m just not sure it’s worth it. if i win, i’ll definitely let you know what i think!

  29. Terri Jackson March 25, 2010 at 2:41 pm #

I joined the basic membership but I would love to join the premium membership. I loved the website and tips!

  30. Terry Jackson March 25, 2010 at 2:42 pm #

I loved the website and joined the basic membership. I would love to win the premium membership. I loved the tips and technique page!!

  31. Jen March 25, 2010 at 2:47 pm #

The membership is a great idea. Especially for those who have access to a Convention near them. But for those of us not attending….it;s a little steep! I think that there is so much out there available at a lesser price or even for free that what they are offering isn’t worth the membership fee.

  32. Janette March 25, 2010 at 2:58 pm #

This sounds great, except that I am not sure if I would use it enough to make it worth the cost.

  33. Lorraine March 25, 2010 at 2:58 pm #

I was just thinking about something like this! Actually, it was more along the lines of the great stamping community that Splitcoast has and the inspiration available there, and was thinking that a great scrapbooking community would be well received. Excellent idea! Do they allow Canadian memberships? I’m going to have to go digging a little further into the details…

  34. tdleitch March 25, 2010 at 3:03 pm #

Think it’s got potential. From the first look around it still seems to be lacking in some areas. I think with time, if they dedicate resourses to it, it will become a very useful tool. The members make the community either way! Can’t wait to see how it grows!

  35. sunghee March 25, 2010 at 3:14 pm #

Woohoo! what a giveaway! I’ve been meaning to subscribe to the ck club. thanks for the reminder =)

  36. Beverly March 25, 2010 at 3:16 pm #

Not sure if this is something I would use or not. Like someone else said, it would be great to win the membership to see if it is what it claims. It does look very interesting and fun!

  37. Kimberly R March 25, 2010 at 3:27 pm #

Looks like a great club – the inspiration will surely be helpful. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  38. Erika M. March 25, 2010 at 3:32 pm #

I’ve been on the website several times in the last few weeks and really like it!

  39. Char March 25, 2010 at 3:39 pm #

I’d like to enter the giveaway. I would like to get started making scrapbooks. This club would give me a source and reason to learn.
    Thanks,
    Charlene

  40. torres_uribe2001 March 25, 2010 at 4:23 pm #

I love new ideas and admire people’s talent.

  41. Jill March 25, 2010 at 4:41 pm #

I actually got a notice in the mail. Was planning to join next month because of the convention offer. There is one near me this year–yay!

  42. Rachel Johnson March 25, 2010 at 4:43 pm #

Wow! The CK Club site is jam packed full of stuff! It will take me a while to check it all out. I love that there are so many contests going on!

  43. Bonney March 25, 2010 at 4:54 pm #

Looks very interesting!! I’ve been away from Scrapbooking for a while but this looks like a good way to get jump started again!

  44. Debbie March 25, 2010 at 6:27 pm #

This looks interesting! I hope its available to Canadians…I’ve emailed them asking!

  45. Naomi D March 25, 2010 at 6:33 pm #

I am a subscriber to CK magazine and have always been happy with their content, including online material. However I have never quite understood how Club CK differed from their already existing website until reading this article. Thankyou for this very succinct and helpful description!

  46. Kathy Lindstrom March 25, 2010 at 6:57 pm #

A bit bummed on the review. I was hoping for the usual pros and cons, etc. I’ve been looking at this for a couple of months-since CK sent out their first email about it. I don’t think its worth it, even if you do go to a CK Convention-because (at least around here) the CK conventions aren’t worth it!

My 2-cents. Maybe the winner of the subscription could post back on their thoughts?

  47. Robbie March 25, 2010 at 7:08 pm #

This looks great. I love all the ideas

  48. Sandy March 25, 2010 at 9:13 pm #

Well – I’d sure love to win. I’m surprised that this critique is not a critique. There is no positive/negative? I’ve come to trust you and I often follow your suggestions. I think this club would be a super deal if I was going to a CK convention. It’s a pretty good deal because you get the magazines. I’m still thinking about joining.

  49. Rebecca Ednie March 25, 2010 at 10:14 pm #

I think this sounds like fun!!

  50. MisfitGirl March 25, 2010 at 11:26 pm #

Sounds like a great deal, with the opportunity for the magazines and tips and tricks. Great little membership.

  51. Anonymous March 25, 2010 at 11:36 pm #

How fun is this? I love going to convention, so this is a no brainer.
    Patti

  52. Amy March 26, 2010 at 10:57 am #

This could be fun… even more so if I were to go to a convention. It’s nice that they let you keep the starter kit even if you decide not to stick with the club. I’d sure love to win a free membership, lol!

  53. racinggrandma61 March 26, 2010 at 12:19 pm #

I love CK mag. The site looks very interesting. I put it on my favs I think I will take some time to look completely thru the site. Thanks

  54. Lee March 26, 2010 at 3:23 pm #

I love craft critique – thank you for checking out products! The CK club looks interesting, however I’m trying to decide if this is worth the annual subscription for me since I don’t live near a CK Convention location.

  55. marfern1 March 26, 2010 at 4:35 pm #

I think it looks interesting….. maybe its worth the cost for the back issues, and the special edition issues of the magazines featured,,,,, still the price seems a bit steep.

  56. Tamra March 27, 2010 at 7:36 am #

First of all thanks for the opportunity to win. But —–To go Premium Membership, not to go Premium Membership? I’m really on the fence about this one. I am really weighing the “perks” against the cost. For some a CK Convention is just not possible, so it doesn’t necessarily benefit everyone equally. Also there are numerous sites with free fonts, so chances are one has a lot of the fonts already. I know there is a 30 day money back guarantee, but sometimes it can be such a hassle to get a refund. Don’t know if I’m going to jump off that fence to the Premium side or not. Really need input from those that have already taken the plunge to see if they are satisfied.

  57. Lucy March 27, 2010 at 3:06 pm #

A friend of mine just emailed me about how she is loving this. Might be a little pricey, but wow,,,,if I won it for free!!

  58. Rachael March 28, 2010 at 1:11 am #

Looks like a good club…I’m in.

  59. Margie March 28, 2010 at 6:33 am #

The Club looks great and the community looks so much fun! I think this is a wonderful idea and it is of much help for many Scrapbookers. It’s a great offer, that’s for sure!

  60. sillypanda March 28, 2010 at 10:37 am #

I joined the free account, and I *love* seeing everyone’s inspirational pages.

I do agree with a lot of the other commenters on here about how you can find plenty of similar “perks” for free online, but I live near a convention site, so a membership would be totally worth it for me!

  61. Linda Webb March 28, 2010 at 4:57 pm #

I joined, WOW there are some very talented people on this site. Maybe it will get my mojo flowing. Thanks for the great info.

  62. iheartart March 28, 2010 at 6:17 pm #

I have the free membership, but it would be cool to win the premium membership. Thanks for the chance to win.

  63. Heidi March 28, 2010 at 6:25 pm #

I agree with many of the others…if you’re not going to a convention, the cost of the membership seems pretty steep. That being said, the website it very cool and I’d love to be able to explore the club further with a free membership! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  64. Gail March 29, 2010 at 10:33 am #

It looks interesting, but I agree with some earlier comments about all the stuff out there for free.
I doubt that I’m close enough to go to a convention.
    Thanks for the chance though.
Love magazines I can keep paging through for ideas!

  65. rudie2shoes March 29, 2010 at 11:30 am #

Wow, this looks like an awesome thing!

  66. April March 29, 2010 at 11:52 am #

I think it would be great to have all the inspiration for my scrapbooking. It looks like a really cool website. I love the fact they have the Friday Font, sometimes they are hard to find.

  67. Linda E March 29, 2010 at 12:45 pm #

Thanks for the great review and wonderful giveaway!

  68. La Vikinga March 29, 2010 at 1:16 pm #

Yes please I’d like to participate in the giveaway!!!

    La Vikinga

  69. kkaisu March 29, 2010 at 2:53 pm #

With so much free inspiration on the web it I am just not sure in this economy I can justify I paid membership, definitely would love a free one though!! I do love CK and if I were going to the conventions this is something I would look into more closely. Thanks for the chance to win!

  70. billiejo March 29, 2010 at 5:01 pm #

I agree with a lot of the other comments, that so much of the content at Club CK is already available free, but the overall site is pretty nice. I will visit a few times to decide if I should become a paying member. In the meantime, I’d love to win and give this site a real chance. The gallery is awesome. Thanks.

  71. Ann March 29, 2010 at 7:36 pm #

Like the site. Have been thinking about joining as the convention is local for me. Thanks for the chance to win!

  72. Kimberly S. March 30, 2010 at 11:21 am #

The club looks great! Lots of freebies for joining. I think it is just the thing I need to get more motivation to actually get some scrapbook pages done.

  73. Julie March 30, 2010 at 12:20 pm #

I’m new to crafting, but am excited about the projects I want to do! Keeping my fingers crossed that I can win a free membership to this club! 🙂

  74. Kimba's Kreations March 30, 2010 at 12:53 pm #

The club seems great and alot of fun! This will be a great way to get inspiration and input on all crafty projects!

  75. Lorianna March 30, 2010 at 1:06 pm #

I would love a chance to win a membership for free. Maybe offering a free 3 month trial would be a good idea to get some interest.

  76. Scrappy Rat March 30, 2010 at 1:25 pm #

I’ve been looking at this site for about a week now (on and off, not just staring at the screen nonstop. ;)) It’s really tempting. It looks like something totally different from other clubs. It’s kind of dumb, I guess, but the only thing holding me back is the price. If it was $25, I’d grab it…$35 I’m not 100% sure. That joann’s discount is reeeeeeaaaally tempting though. And there’s that coupon…I’m so tempted!

  77. Rebecca March 30, 2010 at 2:32 pm #

I joined yesterday 🙂 I love all the contests and the user friendliness of the whole site.

  78. Doris March 30, 2010 at 5:42 pm #

More reading to read up on but so far…Count me in. Sounds great!! If only the conventions would come to Wichita, Ks.

  79. dorism6220 March 30, 2010 at 8:22 pm #

Looks interesting – but I wish they would have a CK convention in our area sometime.

  80. Jodee March 30, 2010 at 9:13 pm #

I’m not really sure yet. Some things look good, so it might be worth a try!

  81. Katherine March 31, 2010 at 8:09 am #

I love Creating Keepsakes and am always looking for inspiration where ever I can find it.

  82. HatTrikk March 31, 2010 at 12:48 pm #

I have to agree with a lot of the others — club membership would probably be a great deal if you were able to go to CKC. Otherwise, the coupons are nice – especially JoAnns – but I’m not sure I would save enough there to justify the membership cost. If I were lucky enough to win, I may be persuaded otherwise… 🙂

  83. Terrie March 31, 2010 at 12:54 pm #

I am on the fence. I like getting magazines. I couldn’t see any content without signing up. I also like the idea of fonts. Thanks for chance to win.

I always appreciate craft critique articles. Thank you.

  84. Ayelet March 31, 2010 at 5:23 pm #

Looks like a really fun club! Thanks for the chance to win!

  85. Fourth Class Artwork April 1, 2010 at 12:50 pm #

Is this still open? If so, I would love a chance to win…

  86. Valerie April 2, 2010 at 11:00 am #

I would love a chance to join for free! Perfect oppertunity to try it out and get to know all the other members!

  87. gobarb26 April 3, 2010 at 9:07 am #

Looks interesting…would love to win a free membership just to see if it is worth the expense. Then…I would tell EVERYONE about it!!!

  88. DeniseB April 4, 2010 at 11:42 am #

Looks very interesting! I like the idea of a magazine, and it sounds like it includes a lot of great perks.
