CHA Tools: Craftwell eCraft – it’s almost here!

Craft Critique was the first to talk about Craftwell’s eCraft electronic cutter during the Summer 2009 CHA, and we’re happy to report that the new up-and-coming products and services are still living up to our initial assessment: awesome! We can’t wait to get our hands on the product for a full review!

There’s an App for that?! Yes, please! The eCraftapp will allow you to work with images right on your iphone on the go! This is pretty exciting to us, and we can’t wait to try it out! We hope to see other companies follow suit!

Basic design software is available, and then a professional level software can also be purchased, allowing users to cut their own fonts and images.

The eCraft is pretty sexy looking. It holds a pen and blade in the same carrier, so you don’t need to switch back and forth when drawing then cutting. It also doesn’t use a mat. Micro tabs hold the paper in place while cutting detailed images, sort of like a perforation.
We can’t wait to get our hands on it and find out more! Tell us what your questions are and we will make sure they are answered during our formal review of the eCraft.

This is cool. I was wondering (if you know) if you can use smaller width paper than 12″ – would be nice if it was scrap-paper friendly. Also how thick of a “paper” will it cut. Thanks!

I came to your site today in hopes that you had some up-dated news on the eCraft. Will they hit the market any time soon?
