Vendor Spotlight: SRM Stickers

Reported by Fabrizio Martellucci

When I heard about the opportunity to review SRM stickers, I jumped at the chance as soon as I saw them. Their fun designs and transparent backing all around the motifs makes them the ideal choice for cardmakers and scrapbookers alike.

Stickers are mess free

Now I know that most of you are quite happy to use stamps and inks, but there’s also some crafters out there who can’t be asked to get mucky, and I’m completely with you there. So you need SRM stickers to add that special sentiment to your cardmaking or a lovely bandana across your layout with no mess or smudgy ink in sight.

SRM stickers have over 27 categories

I really enjoy the SRM Categories as they seem to have a sticker with cute words and funky images for nearly every occasions. They have more than 27 categories, so you’ll be spoilt by their choice and find exactly what you need for your cardmaking and scrapbooking.

If you need inspiration they have two blogs attached to their main site: SRM BlogSusan’s SRM Blog

Stickers can be used for quick card making

I’ve promised my editors that I would create six cards to show you how fun cardmaking can be and QUICK ! I like to call these SRM Stickers ‘ the no ink required stamps’ as the finished result is nice and crisp as well as standing out some lovely white cardstock (I use Stampin’ Up! Whisper White).

They are perfect to use your scraps just a big of layering using a focal point and a lovely sentiment, you’re done. They’re quite good value too; I found them of very good print quality. You need to handle them with care when pulling them from the backing though as if you pull them too quickly they can tear. So be mindful when peeling them off.

Here are some cards I made using their newest stickers:

Pros:

  • Good print quality
  • Fantastic choice of themes
  • Transparent around the motif so that the sticker melds with the paper used

Cons:

  • If you’re not careful the sticker can tear when pulling it from the backing paper
  • Sentiments are all in black print, would like to see the same sentiments in a choice of colours
  • Style is very modern but would like to see some vintage and old-fashioned fonts being used
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing what you can do with stickers making cards especially if you don’t like stamping. Let me know how you’re getting on with your card making and you’ll be able to say ‘ Look Ma’ No Ink’ ! LOL

This is such a generous giveway.

I’ve always collected stickers since I was young. And now that I’m a scrapbooker, I can play with my stickers more rather than keeping it in a sticker book.

Stickers are really versatile for adding dimension, character or just for fun!!

These look like a great find – I love stickers, sometimes they add just the right touch. I use them on cards as well as on scrapbook pages. I hate when the sticker background does not “disappear” onto my paper. I really like seeing a line of versatile sentiments come out and hope to see these in more colors and print styles.

I am a sticker fan, and really enjoy how far the newer stamps have come with bringing more dimension to the actual stickers themselves, the only con is that you are somewhat limited as far as color and sizing options go

I use stickers a lot in my crafting. My problem with stickers is usually they are not on a clear backing and I don’t like the (usually) white background – makes the sticker stick out! These SRM stickers would be a great addition to my craft room – they are transparent which is perfect for me. Great article Fab! Love those cards.

I have used stickers a little, but mostly for bookmarks. On occasion, I will use stickers on my cards. I find them to be convenient, but I don’t like the way the clear plastic shows on the cards. Maybe these SRM stickers will be better than what I have used in the past.

I love stickers……but I don’t use them much because they get a bit expensive. You see, I have a dream job. I’m a crafts instructor at “senior citizen” complexes in Florida. I buy and use all my own supplies…even though I get paid, I still lose money every year. My accountant has me listed as a “charity.” So I do it for free, and we all have a blast. Making cards is my passion!
