CHA Sponsor: Spellbinders Paper Arts!

Founded in 2003 in Phoenix, AZ, Spellbinders Paper Arts has been inspiring crafters for years!  We are honored to have their sponsorship for today’s coverage, and they have generously offered a special giveaway just for our readers!  Read on to see how you can win!

Spellbinders came to fruition because founder Stacey Caron’s passion for paper crafts motivated her to create a universal die cutting and embossing machine.  She wanted to use all the dies on the market at the time with one portable machine to take to crops.  With the help of her husband Jeff, an engineer, they created the Wizard™ Die Cutting and Embossing System.  Dies have evolved into detailed shapes with patented triple function: cut, emboss and stencil.

Starring in the Spellbinders product line are the Grand Calibur™, Presto Punch™, Nestabilities®, Grand Nestabilities®, Borderabilities®, Shapeabilities®,  Impressabilities®.

The Presto Punch is the latest in the popular line.  We had the pleasure of seeing it in action today on the show floor!

The Spellbinders Nestabilities, sets of nesting die templates in ¼” increments, are the top selling collection of die templates, and Labels One leads the way as the most popular die.

Spellbinders is pleased to be releasing a new line of coordinating Shapeabilities at CHA called Accents and Motifs, featuring the intricate shapes and sophisticated designs.

Spellbinders has also partnered with Donna Salazar to create a wonderful new line of dies that coordinate with Donna’s new papers from GCD, and Zutter/Bind-it-all products! (more photos coming tomorrow).

Regarding craft industry trends, Spellbinders notes they see a lot of cross-over in crafting.  Quilting inspiration is seen on scrapbook pages; fabric, ribbon, felt and buttons are part of a card maker’s collection. Sewing enthusiasts are utilizing die-cut fabrics, and scrapbook book paper designs are being released as fabric. Paint has become a universal staple, while glitter, stamps and die cuts are used more in home décor.  Jewelry makers utilize found objects and crocheted flowers to create custom pieces. Inspiration is not limited to a specific craft anymore.
