CHA SuperShow Summer 2011, Chicago

The CHA Craft Supershow Section at TransWorld’s Jewelry, Fashion and Accessories Show is being held this weekend, July 21-24, 2011 at the  Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. There are Manufacturers as well as retailers in attendance for prime shopping.

Craftside is there, giving attendees a free journal at their booth, and showing off all their great crafty titles.

And demos to show you how to use the cool products at the show.

There are plenty of hands-on make-and-takes like this one from Lion Brand yarn.

There are some crafty celebs in attendance too.

There are FREE make-and-takes at some of the booths, like this one from My Favorite Things, which also included a FREE stamp set for attendees who participated. Their make-and-take schedule is available on their blog.
Plenty of cool deals and projects in their booth as well.
And some great free projects from the Splitcoast Stampers gang and manufacturers which change each day.

And another free make-and-take from Taylored Expressions, who also brought along all their great products.

And special deals just for attendees.

And let’s not forget the great projects to inspire you!

So, if you are in the Chicagoland area, you have two more days to check out the show! Let us know if you will be there or if you attended, what do you think? We would love to know!

I thought it was a major letdown. Too small, not enough make and takes. I expected more excitement at the SCS booth. The vendor I thought worth visiting was Taylored Expressions, that was it.
It was nice to try the new Martha Stewart loom at the Lion Brand booth, but that was pretty boring too.

I have to agree with java diva…Last year we attended this event and it was really phenomenal!! You needed 3 days just to go through the show & see it all. This year we planned on staying for 2 days and were able to do it all in 1 day. What a tremendous disappointment this really was!

The vendors that were there definitely were wonderful (as always) – great make-n-takes, very friendly & helpful. I also know that the vendors too were a bit disappointed since they were under the impression there were going to be 50-100 vendors there (including major craft stores and major manufacturers) and there were maybe only 20.

Please don’t get me wrong, it’s a good show, loved seeing Splitcoast Stampers, Stamp on It (we love Sam & Deb), My Favorite Things, Taylored Expressions, etc. but when I was expecting something on par with last year – this is such a major letdown. I hope that CHA reconsiders and revisits the past for the future!
