Jobs | Looking for craft jobs?

Several craft jobs and calls have crossed our desk here at Craft Critique recently! Here’s a sampling!

horizontal-lineThe first is for craft bloggers…Make: magazine is looking for a new craft blogger, as well as for craft projects to publish:

New Craft blogger — This person would be posting about 3 blog posts per week and curating 3 roundup slideshows per week of cool, related crafty projects. We’re looking for someone with an eye for beautiful images.

Original craft projects — In particular, we are interested in crafts that straddle the line between crafting and making, such as wearable electronics, furniture, leather working, metalworking, and home & garden. But we are open to all types of craft projects, as long as they are interesting and unique. This will be an ongoing quest.

To learn more about how to apply or submit your work, visit the Make: magazine website.

horizontal-lineThe second item is a call for home fashion sewers who are interested in being on TV. Love Productions USA is looking for what it describes as “sewing enthusiasts” in the NY tri-state area to take part in a pilot for a U.S. version of the hit BBC show “The Great British Sewing Bee“. The show features amateur sewers that create garments that are judged not on their perceived fashion value but on their construction quality and fit.
