The Duck Prism Sheets (Swirl pattern) were a creative challenge that I was excited to try out. I didn’t have a project in mind when I started, but wanted to see what these metallic, adhesive sheets were capable of.I had seen Duck brand tape sheets in the craft stores, but these are different than the standard Duck Tape material. They are thin and metallic, similar to a mylar ballon. Below you can see the thin adhesive sheet and backing (after I started cutting it up).
So then of course I had to try using my craft punches on the Duck Prism sheets. The small star punch worked perfectly, but the larger cloud punch got hung up in the clear coating again. Using punches seems to be kind of hit and miss. I would guess that the smaller and simpler shapes would generally work well.
I went back and tried another thin metal die (Spellbinder Nestabilities this time) with these sheets and got some great results. These dies made clean cuts on the sheets and I made a name banner for my daughter’s bedroom.
The detail picture below shows the great shine that you get from these Duck Prism sheets. I love the big impact they make in small doses. These would be great for adding some extra sparkle to school projects like science fair displays and general crafts or holiday decorations.
- 8″ x 10″ sheet allows you to cut whatever shapes you need for a certain project.
- Prism metallic material gives lots of shine to your projects.
- Adhesive was plenty sticky for my banner, using cardstock and craft foam.
- Some craft punches and dies will have trouble cutting through the clear surface film on these sheets.
Duck Prism Sheets retail for $1.99 and are available at your local craft stores.
