Summer Themed Button Bobby Pins

This summer themed button bobby pins tutorial is a quick and easy project that shows how easy it is to incorporate all those cute buttons in your collection into fun decorative bobby pins.

Hair Button Bobby Pin Project Supplies

Supplies:

Step 1:

Using the wire cutter cut the shanks off the back of the buttons. Try to cut it as flush to the base as possible. I used a piece of sand paper to make my surface flat and ready to accept adhesive.

Safety Note: I recommend wearing protective goggles or lenses because the shank pieces can fly all over when they are cut off.

Step 2:

Add a small amount of the E6000 glue to the bobby pin blank. Then press the back of the button onto the glued surface.

 Step 3:

Set aside to dry. Wait 24 hours before using; this gives the adhesive a chance to cure.

Total Spent on Project:

All that I spent on this project was a total of $3, because I already had the wire cutters, the glue and the sand paper. If you have some fun buttons, then all you need are the bobby pins, which can be found online on Amazon or at your local craft store.

Artistic Wire 3D Bracelet Jig Kit

The 3D Bracelet Jig is around 6.9cm in circumference , which creates a 2.75 inch diameter piece. It has evenly spaced rows and columns of holes, which hold the 20 pegs and fasteners that are included in the kit.

How to set up the Artistic Wire 3D Bracelet Jig

The Jig is easy to use. You just secure each peg by attaching the fastener from the inside of the circle, and then wrap the wire around to create your design. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want. If you want to see the Artistic Wire 3D jig in action, just watch the video below.

Niji Splash Inks are perfect for painting shrink plastic. You can see how great the jewelry in the above photo looks. The colors are very vibrant and you can see how easy they are for shading and adding depth to designs. The ability to mix colors gives the user the ability to match to a particular fabric or compliment the colors in beads, while creating unique jewelry pieces. Once the paint is dry, it is permanent when used on a porous surface.
