CHA – Tools: Yudu Machine with Glitter, Flock and Foil

In the Provocraft booth, not only were they unveiling the new Cricut Imagine but they were also showcasing the new adhesive for use with the Yudu Machine.  You can use the same method with your Yudu machine that you use with ink, but instead add their specially formulated adhesive to create designs that can be brought to life with glitter, flock or even foil.

This new product will increase the possibilities you already have with this fully customizable tool.  This is great news for people who would like to upcycle an old T-shirt or bag into something fabulously glamorous.  And remember, you can create any design you want with your computer, die cutting machine or even just a freehand drawing.

Here’s a look at how simple it is to use the Yudu machine with their new adhesives and glitter, foil or flock.

So, what do you think?  Do you own a Yudu?  If not, might this persuade you to make the leap?

CHA- Yarn & Fabric

Scaring up yarn and fabric companies was difficult at CHA Summer 2010; it was really a scrapbooker’s paradise, not so much for yarners (which is what my husband calls people who use yarn, like me).

But I was diligent, and came up with a few goodies.

Premier Yarns, home of the Deborah Norville Collection, is coming out with an anti-pilling yarn. It’s 100% acrylic, which I normally shy away from, but I touched it and it is SOFT. In fact, all of the offerings from Premier were soft enough for me to use, and I’m picky. They’re also coming out with their yarns in a “Big Ball” package, 13 oz for the patterned yarn, 16 oz for the solids.

Lion Brand also had a booth, but wouldn’t let me take photos (???)… up and coming from them:

I also found the Clover booth, and they had a few new things:

Leather Bag Straps

Nancy Zieman has a new Trace ‘n Create Bag template out: the Florida Tote

Bamboo Notions have a comfy bamboo handle:

The pickings were slim for yarners, but I’m looking forward to some of these new offerings… did you see anything that you’re excited about?
