CHA -Paper lines & More: Graphic 45

Graphic 45 is one of those companies that I ooh and ahh over just about everything they put out. This summer was no exception. They once again brought new and gorgeous lines to the show.

An instant favorite was Halloween in Wonderland:

We fell in love with the Alice in Wonderland theme!

Another favorite is the Steampunk Debutante line.

Even the Graphic 45 booth employees were in the spirit of Steampunk, which was just so cool:

Their Christmas line did not disappoint either, full of rich and beautiful images:

We also got to peek at their new Staples collection, which are kraft, black, and cream coordinating elements to mix and match to your heart’s content. Staples include tags, trim, chipboard elements, stickers, and more.

I left this booth feeling so inspired. While vintage looks were a big theme of the show, Graphic 45 truly has it down to an art!

CHA- Kids’ Crafts

While CHA is really known for scrapbooking and card making supplies, there are several other niche markets represented, including crafts for kids. I tracked down a number of companies, some tiny & family-owned, some big, well-known names, all with one goal in mind: keeping my kids from being bored.

Preschool Projects LLC has come up with cute, quick projects for the little fingers. These kits will be showing up at A.C. Moore next month, and with an MSRP of $1.99, are just right for calming the “one last stop” meltdowns.

My Friendship Bracelet Maker is another tiny start-up… invented by a grandfather while babysitting his granddaughters (to keep their bracelet-making rigs from being safety-pinned to the sofa!), this product line speaks to those of us who remember making bracelet after bracelet in 7th grade. What a great way to share this craft with our own kids… and the pre-cut strands & built-in storage? Genius!

Speaking of 7th grade, Shrinky Dinks are just like you remember them, except full of new, trendy designs that, while marketed toward kids, would make super cute charms for cards & scrapbook pages. These kits will be in catalogs and specialty shops, with a a $17 MSRP.

Sandtastik, known for their colored sand and plaster products, has come out with Sand Scenes, a tacky board with peel-off areas that kids can sprinkle with sand… gives a whole new meaning to sand art!

Marina Games lets kids do what they’ve always wanted: invent their OWN board game, with their OWN rules. Oldest siblings are shouting for joy! The Create a Game looks like fun, not just in the creating stage, but in the playing stage too.

Xyron is relaunching their Magic Sticker Maker… now your kid’s scribbles art can stick around for a long time… literally!

EK Success has a line of adorable American Girl crafts that not only follow along with the American Girl books, but are delightfully cute in their own right.  Here’s a great way for moms (and dads!) to connect with their pre-tweener, and help the kids learn sewing, scrapbooking, and all sorts of other crafts. Available at Michael’s now, shipping to independent stores in October.

Colorbök has some licensed some familiar names & faces: Peanuts by Schultz, and Build-a-Bear. Color-on wood pieces, needlepoint, sun catchers & more on the Snoopy side of things; diy stuffed animals from Build-a-Bear… their kids’ craft bases are covered!

Let us know what you think! See something your kids are going to go nuts for? Leave us a comment and let us know, and you’ll be entered in a drawing for one of three Scor-Buddy prize packs from Scor-Pal!
