CHA Scrapbooking: Hambly Screen Prints

Reported by Sarah Moore, Founding Editor

If you’re looking for what’s hot in papers, overlays and rub-ons, chances are you know who this next company is. The amazing team at Hambly Screen Prints never disappoints! When they shared a sneak of their new washi tape on the Hambly blog a few days before the show opened, people were so excited! We’re pretty sure it was one of the most retweeted and re-Facebook shared updates we’ve seen in a while!

We could go on and on about Hambly and the fun new papers, rub-on and washi tape designs, but instead I will just share a few shots from their always adorable booth. Enjoy, and remember – friends don’t let friends washi alone!

Do you use washi tape? What do you use it for? We love the new paper and overlay collections as well as the rub-ons – which are your favorites?

It’s only suiting that the amazing Hambly Screen Prints be a sponsor for one of the Anniversary giveaway’s… Hambly was the first company we contacted for review when we started up 2 years ago. If you want to walk down memory lane with us… here is a link to those original articles.

I see Hambly as the company that took Craft Critique from being a blog to a real company… don’t get me started now, I don’t want to get verklempt! 🙂

Craft Critique Owner Sarah Moore and Allison Abad of Hambly Screen Prints

Hambly Studios was established over 35 years ago by Harry Hambly. They were originally known for their silk-screening, serigraphs, posters & greeting cards, then years later prismatic stickers. About 5 years ago, Hambly Studios decided to take full advantage of the silk-screening equipment they own, and decided to try making hand-silkscreen papers. Since then they also began silkscreening overlays & rub-ons. All their Overlays, Rub-ons and Papers are still silk-screened in their Santa Clara, California Studio. They aim to keep their designs cutting edge & innovative, and are excited to have brought the Art of Silk Screening to the papercrafts industry.

Allison Abad is Hambly’s front woman and Jack (or Jane) of all trades. Besides having a wonderful reputation in the industry for creating inovative designs, Allison is just plain NICE. Retailers, designers and customers have high praise for Hambly and Allison!

Known for their bold trend focused designs, Hambly Screen prints has a line of papers, sheer overlays, rub on’s and stickers that are like nothing else. The colors are rich and vibrant, and the designs are fashion forward… I never know if I should be using my rub on’s on my sunglasses and shoes or on my pages!

You can see the full line of Hambly Screen Print products, and buy them here.

Their latest collection has even gone so far as to bring back some of the companies original designs. Don’t you love how everything old is new again!

Hambly has also put together an amazing group of designers to showcase their products. The Hambly blog is a must read! How great are these pillows that were created for the last CHA… those are rub on’s on fabric! Hambly rub on’s are like nothing else… because of the nature of their creation they act just like a silk screen… ther color is amazingly solid and vivid!

Now how about that prize? Like I mentioned before, Allison is generous of heart and product! she put this package together just for YOU! Aren’t those new butterfly designs to die for!
